(Philippines)., Institute of Allied Health Profession. UNITED STAFFING REGISTRY, INC., has a present work force of more than 25 and with more than 200 nurses (RNs & LPNs), and health care givers, nursing aides (CNAs) and home health aides (HHAs) in its payroll.

Of record are the more than 2,000 nurses/health care givers who received their immigrant visas thru the sponsorship of the company, majority of whom are now American Citizens, occupying executive positions in hospitals or health care facilities.


WHAT IS A LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE?

Length of Program:
A TWO (2) Year Program

Nature of Work:

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES (LPNs, as they are known in the East Coast, or LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSES (LVNs), as they are known in the West Coast, or REGISTERED NURSING ASSISTANT (RNAs), as they are known in Canada, care for the sick, injured, convalescent, and disabled under the direction of physicians and registered nurses. Most LPNs or LVNs provide basic bedside care, taking vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. They also prepare and give injections and enemas, monitor catheters, apply dressings, treat bedsores and give alcohol rub and massages.

Working Conditions:
Most LPNs or LVNs in hospitals and nursing care facilities
work a 40-hour week but because patients need round-the-clock-care,
weekends, and holidays, overtime is inevitable.

Employment and Job Outlook:

LPNs and LVNs hold approximately 800,000 jobs in America and is expected to grow as fast as average in response to the long terms care needs of an increasing elderly population and the general growth of health care services.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
• 72 Units in college (2-year curriculum)
• At least High School graduate;
• Height must be at least 5’2” for females and 5’4” for males;
• Physically, emotionally, and mentally fit to study;
• Highly motivated;
• Can communicate in both oral and written English;
• Must pass the aptitude test.

WHAT IS A CARE GIVER PROGRAM?
It is a SIX-month program that provides the individual the much needed skills to work in hospitals, hospices, home care, both local and abroad.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
• With 72 Units in college (Canada)
• At least High School graduate (other countries)
• Height must be at least 5’2” for females and 5’4” for males;
• Physically, emotionally and mentally fit to study;
• Can communicate in both oral and written English;
• Must pass the aptitude test.


WHAT IS HEALTH CARE SERVICES?

It is a ONE-year program that provides the individual the much needed skills to work as NURSING ATTENDANT/ AIDE in hospitals, both local and abroad.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
• At least High School graduate;
• Physically, emotionally and mentally fit to study;
• Can communicate in both oral and written English;
• Must pass the aptitude test.
